The ECOCLC wishes to retain an independent person or group to research and provide the data necessary for the ECOCLC members to understand the demographics of the populations on their catchment areas, and specifically, to gather and present verifiable data about the depth and breadth of poverty within the communities they are to serve. The proponent will:Identify demographic and socio-economic variables relevant to the ECOCLC client base. Identify data sources for community profiles. Prepare comprehensive community profiles for the 12 community legal clinics participating in the ECOCLC, with a separate report for each clinic/catchment area in written and electronic form that: Provides a narrative report of data analysis that presents the data with citations, tables, graphs, in English for 8 clinics, and in both English and French for 4 clinics. compares current Stats Can census to the prior Stats Can census includes interactive mapping of the low-income population to the participating clinics, with overlays that give a visual of the poverty by client characteristics.
