- The Mitchell Drinking Water System serves approximately 2,150 residents along with industrial, commercial, and institutional users. It sources water from four municipal wells. Wells 1, 2, and 3 feed a shared treatment facility and reservoir, while Well 4 operates independently. The system includes an elevated water tower (1,050 m³), a standpipe (3,900 m³), and a fire pumping station.
Well 3, drilled in 1967, draws from a bedrock aquifer and is classified as non-GUDI. It has a history of upgrades to maintain water quality and capacity, currently approved for 2,880 L/min.
