Summary:
This Request for Pre-Qualifications (“RFQUAL”) is issued for the District of Peachland-s Firehall P3 Project, and is aimed at real estate developers and similar organizations that are interested in proposing land and / or commercial opportunities as part of a Public-Private-Partnership (P3) or similar arrangement, to enable the District to complete its objectives for the design and construction of a new firehall.
Further details for the project opportunity are provided within the RFQUAL documents, however key project objectives for the District can be summarized as follows:
Design and construct a new 18,000 square foot firehall for the District.Introduce commercial / private-sector portions to the project, which may include increasing project density with commercial or residential development.Use the increased value or efficiencies gained through private-sector portions of the project, to subsidize the District-s Firehall design and construction.Develop a landmark building for the District, at a key gateway entrance to the District-s rapidly developing waterfront area.Through this RFQUAL, the District encourages creative and ‘out-of-the-box- thinking, as well as multiple Proposal submissions if a Respondent wishes.
Request for Pre-Qualification (RFQUAL):
The District-s intent is to pre-qualify up to three (3) organizations from this RFQUAL, for participation in a 2nd-stage procurement process for the project opportunity, as detailed further in the RFQUAL documents.
The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (“CETA”) applies to the District-s procurement of this Project Opportunity, and this RFQUAL will be conducted in accordance with the government procurement requirements of CETA. No further notices to solicit Submissions for inclusion in the Pre-Qualified list will be issued during the three-year period following the Closing Date of this RFQUAL.
