Description : IntroductionPMG Technologies intends to sole-source the study for Transport Canada. PMG Technologies is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Transport Canada Motor Vehicle Test Center (MVTC) located in Blainville, Québec.The project consists of a three-year multi-pronged approach to develop a standardized tool to quantitatively compare small stature human female (F05) crash test dummies to each other and to a detailed finite element Human Body Model developed by the Global Human Body Models Consortium (GHBMC), in a cost-effective manner.The overall project objectives are to: Improve motor vehicle crash safety for women. Leverage the substantial TC Crashworthiness database of in-vehicle tests to promote the continuity of Crashworthiness Research programmes at TC. Reduce the costs associated with the acquisition of emerging crash test dummy technologies. Develop a methodology that utilizes the small stature female human body model, the THOR 5th and Hybrid III 5th digital ATD models to address limitations of the physical ATDs.
