- Tender are invited for The Department of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) requires the provision of service to develop new functionalities related to the management of 3D point clouds in the open source geomatics software QGIS Desktop. The development will have to be done in the core of the software and not via extensions. It must also respect the standards and conventions of the community supporting the open source software QGIS Desktop. The features to be developed in QGIS are the following:Read support for the new emerging Cloud Optimized Point Cloud (COPC) format Draw and visualize cross-sections of a 3D point cloud Generate on the fly raster layers from 3D point cloud Allow synchronization of actions between the 3D and 2D view of a point cloud dataset Allow adding labels to point cloud datasets in 2D and 3D views Fixed the problem in the style panel so that it can work with attributes other than the classification attribute Show basic statistics of point cloud classification values in the style panel Allow synchronization of style configuration between 2D and 3D views
