Description:
Tender are invited for The contractor will use species field observation data from various sources to determine which fine-grained Canadian ecoregion areas contain, likely contain, or historically contained, the presence of a given species. The range maps to be digitized are for ECCC SARA (Species at Risk Act) and COSEWIC (Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada) listed species, as well as other CWS Priority Species. Many of the species range maps will be required at the subspecies and population level, if applicable.Once the range maps have been digitized, the maps and underlying data must be reviewed by wildlife biology experts for further refinement before the results are finalized and delivered. The contractor must have access to a robust network of wildlife biologists with appropriate expertise for this review process. The review process should use an online mapping portal capable of recording expert input to enable the potential refinement of the range map data into the future.
