Description : The Deliverables consist of two separate projects: 1. Dale Meadows Road Watermain Replacement The Consultant will be responsible to design approximately 1,200m of proposed domestic watermain for replacement on Dale Meadows Road from Walton Street to Haddrell Avenue. The proposed watermain will be installed beside the existing 250mm asbestos cement watermain (to be abandoned) on the straight section from Haddrell Avenue to the east side of Gould Avenue and will be installed in a new alignment under the road surface along the curved sections from Gould Avenue to Walton Street. The scope of the work includes reconstructing Dale Meadow Road from the existing 7m wide rural road to include a secondary bicycle route, such as shoulder bikeways or shared use lanes. As per the District-s Cycling Master Plan, shoulder bikeways can be used in rural areas to provide a dedicated space for people cycling on rural roads and are typically 1.8m wide but can be reduced to 1.5m wide. Alternatively, shared use lanes may be considered with the lane widths to be no less than 4.3m.
