- Canada, represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD), is inviting suppliers with experience in the delivery of Design-Build services to submit a Response to qualify for the planned construction of the New Canadian Embassy in Mexico City, Mexico (the “Project”). This Invitation to Qualify (ITQ) defines the requirements for the qualification of Respondents for the Project.
This presents a unique opportunity for appropriately qualified and experienced Respondents to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and experience in delivering quality Design-Build Services of the kind required for a high-profile embassy building as will be defined in Canada's technical requirements (at the RFP stage). The Contractor that will be awarded a contract following the RFP process will be required to ensure excellent quality design in several fields, such as heritage, architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and high-quality construction.
The Contractor will be responsible for providing a full range of architectural and engineering design services as more particularly described in the solicitation documentation to be provided at the RFP stage. Such services will include but not be limited to: architecture, space planning, interior design, civil, landscape, structural, mechanical, electrical, sustainable design, specialty lighting design, and audio visual design.
