Description:
The Municipality of the District of Guysborough (MODG) requires an addition to the existing Canso & Area Recreational Facility (Canso Arena) to accommodate a new 2,000 ft2 Fitness Facility. In addition, a new common area Entrance of approximately 500 ft2 is envisioned. The Municipality is seeking the services of a qualified Design Builder to provide a detailed design and the construction of this addition and all required ancillary work described and detailed herein. The intent is to award this project in early May 2025 (contingent of tendered amount being within Budget and approval from Council) with a projected construction start in early Summer with completion as quickly as possible thereafter. Proponents are required to submit one (1) digital copy via email to the Municipality at the following email address: tenders@modg.ca, clearly marked “Design-Build RFP for Addition to Canso Arena”. Proposals will be accepted until 10:30 am, Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025. It is the Tenderer-s responsibility to ensure the tender submission is received on time. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all tenders, not necessarily accept the lowest tender, or to accept any tender which it may consider to be in the best interest of the Municipality.
