Description:
Services and Housing In the Province (SHIP) is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for proponents to complete the Design and Build of an affordable housing project on a property SHIP owns located at 273 Main Street North in Brampton. The project will be a new five (5) storey building with approximately fifty-two (52) residential units over four (4) floors and the ground floor as two (2) commercial/office units.

SHIP purchased the property located at 273 Main Street North in Brampton in early 2024 with the intent to redevelop the property into an affordable housing project.

SHIP is starting the process of applying for funding for the project from various levels of government. These funding applications require that SHIP have designers and constructors of the project in place to include in the responses for funding. The timeline for submission of applications aligns with the timing of when the first funding application is due. SHIP would like to have a letter of intent in place with the successful proponent by end of January to include with this first funding application.
