Description:
The work involves the replacement of the existing deck at the Ski Cottage located at 2420 South Bay Road, Sudbury, ON. Any references to the location being the “LU SKI CHALET” on the drawings are incorrect and shall be ignored as there is no connection with LU (Laurentian University). The Owner is the Nickel District Conservation Authority operating as Conservation Sudbury. A completion date on or before December 13, 2024 is required. The site is private property but is immediately adjacent to an open parking lot. The drawings have been accepted to an existing open permit with the City of Greater Sudbury. No other permitting is required.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Removal and disposal of existing deck and side porch; any unspoiled material that can be re-used for odd jobs by the Owner shall be stockpiled in a safe and orderly manner and covered with a waterproof tarp.Installation of helical piles; contractor shall obtain utility locatesConstruction of new deck / railings / stairs plus wheelchair ramp and small concrete padlocalized grading, if required, with erosion control as neededContractor, Owner and Public safety measures during constructionThe form of contract shall be CCDC 2MA. Warranty period shall be 18 months from final completion.
