- The Ministry of Environment and Parks, Recreation Sites and Trails BC branch, is issuing a Request for Proposals for (Ministry Contract No. RC262630003), for the period of April 15th, 2025, to March 31st, 2026, for: Certified Danger Tree Assessment (DTA) and Falling Services at various Recreation Sites (campgrounds) and Trails in the Kootenay-Boundary District including;Wildlife hazardous tree assessments - Parks and Recreation module, Danger tree falling services,Clean-up and removal of downed trees and associated debris (swamper),Mobile chipping (including providing unit) to assist with cleanup, andProviding all other tools and equipment associated with assessing, falling and removing danger trees.Reporting requirementsSubmission of complete DTA (Parks Mode) assessment cards within 5 days of activityRecreation/Trail Crew Services;A three person crew with a 4X4 truck and tools (chainsaw, brush saw, hand tools) inclusive,Have the skills/ability for; trail clearing and brushing, sign installations, installation/replacement/repair of recreation infrastructure (tables/outhouses/kiosks), andother similar services prescribed by Ministry staff.Reporting requirementsSubmission of photos and maintenance records of completed recreation projects by Tuesday of the week following activities.NOTE: The Company must be SAFE certified and must have a marshalling point in Nelson BC (or within a 30-minute drive)
