The Corporation of the Town of Oakville (the town or the Owner) invites tenders for the provision of construction services from qualified and experienced general contractors for the Crosstown Multi-Use Trail Construction: Khalsa Gate to Sixteen Mile Creek, located in Oakville, Ontario.
As recommended by the Active Transportation Master Plan, the Town has initiated the development of a four-metre-wide asphalt multi-use trail along the Crosstown Trail from Khalsa Gate to Sixteen Mile Creek. Building on the work previously completed to upgrade sections of the Crosstown Trail from Neyagawa Boulevard to North Ridge Trail, the town is upgrading the Khalsa Gate to Sixteen Mile Creek portion of the Crosstown Trail, to a four-metre-wide asphalt multi-use trail. Currently, this section of the Crosstown Trail is a limestone path of varying widths.
This project will include installing rest areas with benches, bike racks, waste containers and trail signage, and controlled pedestrian crossings will be installed at all road intersections with the Crosstown Trail. The scope is further described in Section 5 Specifications.Bonding requirements are applicable for this Tender. Refer to Section 1 Instructions to Bidders for details.
