- The Ministry of Environment and Parks is undertaking a program to complete trail and bridge repair works at Bear Creek Provincial Park. The work of this Contract consists of the supply and installation of materials, including all labour, equipment and tools related to bridge and trail repairs, site preparation, all in accordance with the drawings and specifications, and for the prices tendered in the Schedule of Quantities and Unit Price Table. The Bear Creek Trail and Bridge Repairs works are generally described as follows: In general, the Project includes the following works: • Parking Lot/sanitary dump area -Remove and dispose of two burnt utility poles that contain communication lines. -Supply and install water tower. -Paint existing parking security gate. Supply and install new security gate wheel. • Bridge Repair -Remove and dispose of remaining burnt timbers and steel from the three damaged bridges. -Supply and install timber decking, handrails, ballast walls, stairs, concrete foundations and fasteners for the three damaged bridges. This includes painting new bridge steel components. -Supply and install rip rap and filter fabric for two of the bridges. • Stair Replacement -Remove and dispose of damaged concrete foundations, treads, steel pins or rebar for two elevated stair locations. -Supply and install new timber staircases for two locations including stringers, treads, handrails, bracing, concrete foundations, and fastening hardware. • Trail Network -Remove and...
