Description:
WSA intends to engage a General Contractor to a) construct a new dam at the outlet of Cowan Lake, and b) demolish and remove the existing dam. The scope of work generally includes: • Clearing & grubbing; • Care of water including cofferdams and bypass channel; • Earthworks; • Piling; • Cast-in-place concrete; • Supply & installation of safety booms and associated anchors; • Embankment construction including sheet piling; • Supply & installation of radial and vertical lift gates and associated mechanical actuators; • Supply & installation of precast concrete elements (bridge girders, box culverts); • Supply & erection of pre-engineered metal building; • Fabrication & installation of decking, railings, hoist monorails, stoplogs, trash racks, and other miscellaneous metals; • Supply, installation and commissioning of monorail hoists; • Electrical, instrumentation & controls; • Supply and installation of chain link fencing; • Supply and installation public safety signage; and • Demolition and site restoration services including grass seeding
