Request for Proposal No. 2025-017
For: County-Wide Transit Service Delivery Study
The County of Simcoe is requesting Proposals to select a consultant to fulfil the requirements outlined in the terms of reference for the Transit Strategy Update. The project will be a collaborative effort to explore the feasibility of a County-wide transit service, including a jurisdictional review of potential governance models, associated costing, and an incremental implementation plan for operations and fleet at five (5) five-year increments, given the municipal and stakeholder engagement that is imperative to the project's success. The study will involve:
• Investigating current public transit services within the County of Simcoe.
• Identifying transit needs and gaps.
• Evaluating various operational models.
The models will address critical aspects of connectivity and coordination, fare integration, accessibility, governance, funding, sustainability infrastructure, and vehicle options to enhance and expand transit services across the county
