- The comprehensive corporate action plan will guide the Town in decreasing its carbon footprint and preparing the corporation for the effects of a changing climate. It will include actions to mitigate and adapt to climate change over the next ten years, providing an incremental process to take action, measure progress, and adjust to changing technologies and conditions. Recognizing the effects of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and climate change the Town has been working to complete the Partners for Climate Protection (PCP) Five-Milestone Framework. Milestone 1: creating a greenhouse gas inventory and Milestone 2: setting emissions reduction targets have been completed and will be provided to the successful proponent. The next step will be to build off the first two milestones to meet the requirements of Milestone 3: a Climate Change Action Plan.
