• Description:
• The CIB invests in five priority sectors - Public Transit, Clean Power, Green Infrastructure, Broadband, Trade & Transportation - and nation-building projects referred to the Major Projects Office while also executing advisory and research activities in support of these investments. The CIB will invest at least $3 billion across its sectors for projects in partnership with and for the benefit of Indigenous communities.The Montreal Port Authority (the “MPA”) is developing a new marine container terminal in Contrecoeur, Quebec (the “Contrecoeur Container Terminal” or the “Project”). Once built, the Project will provide container terminal capacity of up to 1.15 million twenty-foot equivalent units on Canada-s east coast, strengthen reliable access to everyday goods, and play a key role in supporting Canadian exporters who increasingly want to trade with economies around the world. The CIB is in the process of evaluating an investment in the Project.
