Description:
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by Loyalist Township (the “Township”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Consultant - Land Analysis and Recommendations for upzoning as part of the Zoning By-law Comprehensive Review, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).
The Loyalist Township Economic Growth and Community Development Services Department is requesting proposals from qualified consultants to undertake an analysis and make recommendations on permitted housing forms and zoning performance standards to be implemented in appropriate locations in order to increase housing density in low density areas. Associated Official Plan Amendment recommendations would also likely be required. The Township has approval authority for Official Plan Amendments. The final recommended zoning permissions would be implemented by Township staff as part of the overall Zoning By-law Comprehensive Review, which is currently underway. The Consultant would, however be expected to be in attendance at a public meeting in order to speak to this component of the project. This particular project is a committed Township initiative under the CMHC-s Housing Accelerator Fund.
