Description:
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City of St. Albert (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Indigenous Relations Framework and Reconciliation Action Plan, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).
The City of St. Albert is seeking to engage a qualified, professional, Indigenous relations consultant to develop a framework to foster authentic engagement with Indigenous community partners who have a deep and direct connection to the land. Meaningful engagement starts with education, promoting a deeper understanding of Indigenous histories, cultures, and worldviews. It requires transparency in sharing knowledge and building trust through open, honest dialogue. Ultimately, this project seeks to establish an ongoing framework to nurture reciprocal relationships, where both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities collaborate in ways that honour and respect each other's perspectives.
