- The County is seeking competitive quotations from qualified Contractors for the provision of crushing and processing services of concrete and asphalt materials efficiently and effectively in an environmentally sustainable manner. Mobilized to our Nisku Recycling yard the contractor is to complete thecrushing and stockpiling operations. The expectation is that the crushing operation will be completed with 1 mobilization and complete operations within a reasonable timeframe of 3 weeks and not beyond June 30th annually. The County stockpiles all waste concrete, asphalt, and rubble materials forprocessing into useable aggregates for various initiatives. The County annually recycles and crushes approximately 10,000 to 15,000 tonnes of concrete, and 5,000 to 10,000 tonnes of asphalt (actual totals are not guaranteed and fluctuate year to year). Materials are segregated (piles still containsource contaminates that need to be separated out) and stockpiled as they are received at the Nisku recycling yard. The successful respondent will be required to provide high-quality concrete and asphalt crushing and processing services that adhere to industry standards and regulations while demonstratinga commitment to safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
