Covanta Burnaby is looking to engage a consultant to complete an engineering study in support of the replacement of the existing air compressors and air dryers at Metro Vancouver's Wasteto- Energy Facility in Burnaby.
Work will include:
- Engineering study to replace the existing five (5) Ingersoll Rand air compressors and air
dryers, including the existing compressor outlet piping and air receivers.
- Existing units are 3 phase 575 volt 60 hertz and 325 SCFM at 125 PSI
- Replacement units should be air cooled.
- Evaluate electrical power requirements and potential breaker replacements.
- Evaluate the need for an A/C system in the air compressor room.
- Evaluate the need for a portable air compressor to be used while the air compressors are
being replaced to allow the plant to maintain full operation.
- Supply a detailed full costing of the project and investigate any potential BC Hydro Power
Smart rebates.
- Supply a full project work scope for vendors to bid on.
