Description:
The Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to complete a Comprehensive Fire Flow Action Plan (FFAP) for the water systems owned and operated by SCRD. The purpose of the FFAP is to assess existing fire flow demands and capabilities, identify deficiencies and areas of concern, and provide clear, prioritized recommendations for system improvements to ensure reliable and adequate fire protection across the service area. The selected consultant will be expected to conduct a detailed analysis of the existing water system, current and future demand scenarios, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including fire departments and infrastructure & operations staff. The final deliverables will include both short-term and long-term strategies to address fire flow deficiencies, estimated costs for improvements, and a proposed implementation timeline that aligns with SCRD's water servicing objectives, regulatory requirements and budgetary considerations.
