Description:
CreateTO is seeking compliance architectural services to advance the delivery of a mass timber housing project for the properties located at 1113-1117 Dundas Street West (the “Site”). The development will facilitate the construction of a 10-storey tall mass timber residential building, as part of CreateTO and the City of Toronto-s Environment and Climate Division-s Mass Timber Housing Pilot Program. The Site proposes minor commercial uses at-grade, along with amenity and garden courtyard spaces and a one-storey ancillary building at the rear of the Site to accommodate 85 long-term bicycle parking spaces. The building will be slab-on-grade, with no below-grade structures. The Site will also be one of the first projects completed as part of the City-s ‘Public Developer Model-. Upon completion of the building, the City of Toronto will own the building and lease it to a non-for-profit partner to operate. To accommodate the proposed development, the existing buildings at 1113 Dundas Street West will be demolished as well as existing at-grade structures at 1117 Dundas Street West will be removed.
