Description:
The goal of this work is develop a modeling tool to gain insights on future considerations that support Trade, Immigration and Multiculturalism-s mandate to ensure Alberta is seen as a top destination for foreign investments. The development of a modelling tool will provide comparisons between Alberta and US Gulf Coast states on a wide variety of factors that impact Alberta-s competitiveness to attract investment in the petrochemical manufacturing andhydrogen production sectors. The tool will be adaptable by department staff to analyze Alberta-s competitiveness for future investment opportunities of interest, and the contracting firm will provide demonstration workshops to teach department staff how to adapt it. Secondary objectives include application of the tool to several hypothetical green field projects and provision of a competitiveness report that offers key insights to Government.
