- Tender are invited for LETTER OF INTEREST: COMMUNITY RESIDENTIAL FACILITIESPURPOSE AND NATURE OF THE LETTER OF INTEREST:The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is requesting feedback from suppliers on the provision of accommodation, monitoring, general support and assistance to offenders under federal jurisdiction who have been released to the community on conditional release, statutory release, and those subject to Long-Term Supervision Orders. In accordance with the Corrections and Conditional Release Act (CCRA), which includes principles supporting CSC-s mandate, CSC must ensure that programs, plans, and supervision are in place to assist in an offender-s reintegration.A component of an offender-s gradual, supervised release is the Community Residential Facility (CRF), which provides a bridge between the institution and the community, ensuring that suitable accommodation, support systems and monitoring are in place to assist conditionally released offenders to become law-abiding citizens.CSC has approximately 200 contracts with Community-Based Residential Facilities (CBRFs) across Canada, which provide specialized housing, counseling and supervision, at various levels of control and assistance.
