Description : The Commercial Midstream Lighting Program (the “Midstream Program”) is a new Save on Energy program designed to accelerate the adoption of energy-efficient lighting within Ontario-s commercial sector. Through the Midstream Program, the IESO is shifting the way it incentivizes measure adoption by targeting distributors rather than end users. Specifically, incentives will be paid directly to distributors, enabling them to offer instant point-of-sale discounts on energy-efficient lighting to end users and other purchasers, such as industrial and commercial building owners, electricians and contractors. Distributors will also benefit from targeted sales training and enhanced marketing and promotion support to help increase product sales and program success. Through this RFP, it is the intent of the IESO to enter into an agreement with a single Service Provider to deliver the Midstream Program and support the achievement of program-s objectives.
