Description:
The Agency requires a collection agency that has prior experience in providing collection services for government organizations for recovery of debts owing to the Agency including, but not limited to the following types of accounts:
1. Human Services Department
Ontario Works assistance overpayments from individuals;Childcare fee subsidy overpayments from individuals and businesses andHousing arrears from individuals.Human Services Department overpayments will be forwarded to the collection agency in the last week of each month.
2. Health Department
Long Term Care accommodation arrears from individuals.3. Finance Department
General recoveries from individuals and businesses, including, but not limited to:Insurance payments;Traffic accidents;Sewer backup charges;Water turn on/off;Tourism traffic signs;Environmental spills;Sewage waste disposal;Waste disposal at Community Recycling Centres;Hydrant flow tests;Hydrant rental/illegal usage;Police paid duty andPolice records.During the Term of this Contract, additional types of accounts and other departments may be added to this Scope of Work by the Agency, as required, in the Agency-s sole discretion. The successful Vendor will be required to provide collection services for all of the departments that the Agency requires.
This procurement is issued in accordance with the terms of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), and other applicable trade agreements.
