- The Union of Nova Scotia Mi'kmaq is seeking a consulting firm to provide coastal engineering services at two sites in Potlotek and Eskasoni to address shoreline erosion and flooding due to climate change. The project involves designing nature-based shoreline solutions including rock sills with vegetation and obtaining necessary environmental permits. The consultant will be responsible for design, tender document preparation, construction phase services, and environmental permitting.Preliminary and delineation assessments of shoreline conditions have been completed at both project sites. The successful proponent will use these existing studies to design protective systems that meet funding requirements at both site.
