Description : Scope of Work/Overview: Work of this Contract comprises general construction and renovations to replace oil fired boilers at Henry Larsen Building in Yellowknife NWT. The contractor shall provide all material and labor that is required as indicated herein and/or on the drawings and as required by the manufacturer-s instructions. The following list is a summary of representative items in the work: .1 Remove of existing boilers and venting. Isolate boilers and piping in mechanical room and remove and store glycol. Have glycol independently tested for type, condition, and concentration and provide report for review. Replace or re-install as directed. Allow for approximately 180 liters of new 50% propylene glycol to top up system as necessary. Provide Glycol Environmental Disposal Plan for review where disposal is required. .2 Removal of existing expansion tank, air separator, and associated piping. .3 Removal of existing heating piping in boiler room up to but not including supply and return headers. Existing headers and branch piping/pumps to remain. .4 Removal of existing boiler controls and electrical connections. .5 Disconnect existing fuel oil piping from day tank to boilers.
