• Description:
• The program will evaluate the ability of cybersecurity monitoring systems and operational teams to detect malicious activity, investigate suspicious behavior, and respond to cyber threats before they impact airport operations. Offensive campaigns will assess vulnerabilities across enterprise IT networks, cloud environments, identity systems, operational technology platforms, passenger systems, and vendor integrations. By simulating sophisticated adversary behaviors including ransomware staging activity, identity compromise, operational technology intrusion attempts, and supply-chain attacks. GTAA will gain a clear understanding of how attackers could potentially exploit weaknesses within the airport technology environment.A core objective of the program is to support GTAA-s Pay-for-Performance cybersecurity operations model, enabling the organization to objectively measure the effectiveness of security monitoring, threat detection, investigation, and incident response capabilities. Controlled adversary simulation exercises will provide measurable performance insights such as detection timelines, response effectiveness, and monitoring coverage gaps. These insights will allow GTAA to continuously improve defensive capabilities and ensure that cybersecurity operations remain aligned with the evolving threat landscape facing aviation and Canadian critical infrastructure.
