The City of Calgary requires a qualified architectural team to act as a Coordinating Registered Professional for the design and construction of the Thornhill Aquatic and Recreation Centre - Service Cycle Upgrades project. The City will select a single integrated project team to provide all services from pre-design to post-construction, delivering the envisioned project as outlined in this RFP.The Thornhill Aquatic and Recreation Centre, comprising the Thornhill Aquatic Centre and Murray Copot Arena, is strategically located near schools, playfields, the Huntington Hills Skatepark, and Judith Umbach Library. It fronts on Centre Street N and is part of the Primary Transit Network[1] serving communities like Huntington Hills, Beddington Heights, Thorncliffe, and Highland Park. The centre provides services to nearby affordable housing, schools, and civic facilities.
