- The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to purchase a benchtop, touchscreen Chromium Controller and Next Gem kit from 10X Genomics. Charbonneau Institute at the Cumming School of Medicine requires a highly versatile multi-sample, single cell labelling to identify phenotype and genotype in/on a single cell. Due to the high demand in usage and the move of some of research programs to the Arthur J E Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre, the group needs increase capacity. This system has the ability for multiple samples to be run simultaneously and with fast run times (20 minutes/run), along with bioinformatics pipelines and data visualization software for novice and expert users. it is a mandatory requirement to maintain consistency of our systems, chromium connect, next gem technology and reagents, etc to allow for direct data comparisons at multiple sites and data already acquired from 10x genomics chromium systems.
