SummaryThis project involves construction of a pavilion to display the 1948 de Havilland Vampire Mark III aircraft at the Comox Air Force Museum Heritage Air Park. As the Vampire's partial wooden construction prevents storage outside, it has been kept in a hanger since it's arrival at CFB Comox in2000. This project will provide a permanent home for the Vampire on full display to the public. The pavilion features a large roof overhang and glass enclosure to protect the aircraft from the elements, while allowing up-close viewing from all sides. Site works, subgrade services, foundations, andslab were completed previously in Phase 1 of this project. This current tender package is for the remainder of the Pavilion's construction including the following scopes:- Structural Steel, Trusses, and Metal Decking- Cedar Soffits- Spray Insulation- Roofing- Metal Cladding- Gutters and RainwaterLeaders- Aluminum Doors, Frames, Glazing- Drywall and Steel Stud- Painting- HVAC- ElectricalThis project is funded by donations raised by the Comox Valley Air Force Museum Association. Their fundraising efforts and the generosity of the community have made it possible for this project to startconstruction, however further contributions are needed to meet the funding target.To support this project, bidders are invited to include a donation commitment on the bid form with their quote.
