Description : This project consists of installing high traffic commercial grade carpet tile at B5 level. Majority of the old carpet has already been removed; remove any remaining small areas of existing carpet. Existing condition of substrate shall be assessed before application of new carpet tile. Ensure substrate is cleaned, prepared, and levelled where required. Provide and install new carpet tile including adhesive square connectors, new wall base, transition strips & carpet accessories. All items to match base building standard, where applicable. Glue-free installation to be used for installation of new carpet tile. The carpet tile must adhere to PSPC standards (Technical Reference for Office Building Design) and the latest accessibility standards, including no strong visual patterns. Where the existing wood baseboards are a Heritage character defined element, they shall be protected during all construction activities. Keep existing wood baseboards and conduct minor repairs/touch-ups to baseboards where required. Provide and install new rubber wall base where baseboards are currently missing. In areas of raised flooring simple repairs are recommended. Where vent covers / grills are missing from raised flooring areas, supply & install new grills.
