Detailed_Description : Request for Bids (RFB) to capture and collar up to 185 adult female caribou using one or more rotary-wing aircraft in several of Ontario-s Boreal Caribou Ranges (Brightsand, Churchill, Kesagami, Nipigon, Pagwachuan and Sydney) in a consecutive period between January and mid-March 2026 to allow the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) to collect information on caribou survival and habitat use for the purpose of evaluating a range of parameters for each Range.
Scope of Work : A Vendor is required to capture and collar up to 185 adult female caribou in several of Ontario-s Boreal Caribou Ranges (Brightsand, Churchill, Kesagami, Nipigon, Pagwachuan and Sydney) in a consecutive period between January and mid-March 2026.The objective of the Project is to capture and collar adult female caribou in several of Ontario-s Boreal Caribou Ranges (Brightsand, Churchill, Kesagami, Nipigon, Pagwachuan and Sydney) to allow the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) to collect information on caribou survival and habitat use for the purpose of evaluating a range of parameters for each Range.The purpose is to support implementation of the Boreal Caribou Monitoring Program, which is being led by the MECP, a commitment included in the Conservation Agreement for Boreal Caribou entered into by Ontario and Canada in April 2022.
