Tender are invited for Capital Project Custom Training Program Development
Project Description : The requirements and syllabus for the training, which is the responsibility of the contractor to fulfill, is normally included in the contract specification. Normally the training is delivered in a single session, often in cramped quarters where the equipment is located, and only with those ACRWC able to attend. For those unable to attend, there lacks a consistent training program to pass on knowledge and understanding. The current method of training has many challenges:1. Training method• Training isn-t developed with needs or limitations of the O&M end users in mind.• Training providers come from the equipment manufacturer or installation contractor; they are not educators or instructional design personnel and don-t know how to create or deliver training. • The contractor may not be motivated to provide effective training, since service calls and added revenue result from O&M staff not knowing how to handle troubleshooting on their own. 2. Attendance• 24-hour staff schedules create limitations for training attendance.• Administrative issues relate to allotting time for staff to attend in-person training. • Efforts to use a train-the-trainer approach have been unsuccessful. 3.
