Description:
Buy BC is a province-wide marketing program led by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food designed to promote British Columbia produced and processed foods, beverages, and floriculture within the province. The program aims to increase domestic exposure and sales of Buy BC Licensed Products through strategic partnerships with retailers, producers, processors, and industry associations. The Ministry is seeking proposals for a Buy BC Merchandising Team which will be responsible for Buy BC-s retail merchandising, including conducting regular visits to up to 80 Buy BC Retailer Partners- stores on Southern Vancouver Island and in B.C.-s Lower Mainland, and possibly on Salt Spring Island, to perform client outreach, gather buy-local intelligence, distribute Buy BC signage and ensure compliance, and perform food samplings, and to support a limited number of buy local events and campaigns. The Ministry is seeking proposals from Proponents with experience doing retail merchandising, logistics and inventory management, food samplings/demonstrations, field team management and training, and data collection and reporting. Additional desirable experience includes working with grocery retailers in B.C. or Canada and a familiarity with B.C.-s agricultural sector or local food systems.
