Description:
Successful applicants in this process will be placed on a ‘Preferred Vendors List' and will be given an opportunity to be considered and selected for hosting events, conferences and business travelers for the University of Calgary within the parameters identified in this PRQ document.It is the Universityof Calgary's intention to award contracts to the hotels, events and conference centers registered on the ‘Preferred Vendors List'. The University of Calgary reserves the right to award contracts to other venues if the vendors on the preferred vendor list cannot meet the requirements of any conference,function or business event. The locational breakdown of these events are estimated to take place ninety (90) percent of the time in the City of Calgary region, Five (5) percent of the time in the Banff and Kananaskis region, and Five (5) percent of the time in the rest of the province of Alberta andnationally in Canada.Pre-qualified hotels, event and conference centers will be required to maintain their status in good standing as determined solely by the University in order to remain on the ‘Preferred VendorList'.
