PURPOSE
The City invites Quotations from experienced and qualified Contractors for the provision of everything required including all skilled labour, tools, materials, equipment to carry out designated work associated with vegetation maintenance in natural area parks. Specifically, the work will include two separate tasks: (1) brushing and weeding; and, (2) mulching* of newly planted natural areas. Contractors may provide quotations on one or both tasks. The work to be provided is mainly for maintenance purposes but may also include other vegetation maintenance work.

The annual work program will be provided by the City and work will be scheduled in advance.

Methodology
Brushing and Weeding:
Brushing and Weeding is the control of unwanted vegetation growth in and around recently planted sites. It usually involves the manual removal of unwanted plants, including the roots, and the occasional use of line trimmers (weed-eaters) or brush saws to cut the unwanted vegetation.
