Description:
The work to be done under this Contract consists generally of the supply of allmaterials, labour, supervision, construction plant, equipment, etc., necessary for thecompletion and commissioning of the work that consists of:
• Installation, commissioning and operation of a temporary bypass pumpingstation control panel including new temporary power, bypass piping and fittings,to be operated by the Contractor throughout the duration of the works.• Contractor to install a temporary SCADA panel, provided by City of Saint John,to provide transmitting the high-level float alarm and pump failure only.• Two (2) float type level switches shall provide the temporary bypass pumpingsignals for a high water level (alarm) indication and for pump shutdown.• Temporary removal of the existing fiberglass lift station control building,• Construction of an elevated reinforced concrete foundation slab,• Repositioning of the fiberglass building and components onto the elevatedfoundation slab.• The Contractor is responsible for dewatering all existing infrastructure prior to,and during connections to said existing infrastructure, as well as diverting flowsas required.• Supply and installation of approximately 100mm PVC DR21 force main, 25mmMunicipex water service as shown on the drawings.• Installation of new galvanized stairs and railing.• Re-installing internal piping to the new building elevation. Pipe penetrationsthrough the floor to be sealed. All new gaskets are to be installed on the pipefittings and valves.• All existing electrical equipment to be reconnected as shown on the drawingsand as described in the specifications.• The building is to be painted internally and externally once re-installed intoposition on the elevated slab.• Temporary works including but not limited to security fencing, Traffic ControlPlan, signage, shoring, dewatering sedimentation control, etc.• Site works and landscaping of properties disturbed as a result of the constructionincluding restoration of sur...
