Description:
The work is located on W Ward Line over the Marshy Creek, east of St. Clair Parkway in the Community of Port Lambton, Township of St. Clair.
The work includes but not limited to the following:
Removal of existing concrete structure (Bridge 56).
Installation of site isolation system.
Excavation for structure and dewater for excavation.
Construct a new bridge substructure: supply and install concrete filled HSS 324x13 friction tube piles, and reinforced concrete pier caps, abutments, and wing walls.
Construct a new bridge superstructure: supply and install precast concrete solid slab girders, and construct reinforced concrete load distribution slab and curbs.
Supply and install TL-3 traffic barriers.
Supply and install steel beam guiderails with energy attenuation end treatments and connection to traffic barriers.
New civil construction: granular backfilling, base and subbase, granular roadway grading, and site restoration.

It is the responsibility of the Contractor to familiarize themselves, and/or their sub-contractors, with the existing site conditions.
The Township will NOT be responsible for any extra costs that may result from failure to complete an existing site investigation.
