Description:
The Work is the rehabilitation of Bridge 19 located on Lakeshore Road West, approximately 140 m west of Line 7 S in the Township of Oro‑Medonte and includes the following:
Approximately 40 m of roadworks, including asphalt removal, excavation, granular placement, re‑grading of the roadside embankment, and the installation of new waterproofing on the original structure.Replacement of unsound concrete and reinforcing steel from deck top, soffit, and girders.Replacement of missing gabion basket retaining walls and backfill material.Removal and replacement of curb and gutters approaching the structure.Installation of deck drain extensions.Construction of 6 m long concrete approach slabs.Installation of cobbles and boulders, mixed with smaller river stones, at structure outlet to infill scour pond.Installation of concrete scour protection or rip‑rap in front of gabion basket retaining walls for erosion control.Replacement of steel beam guide rail and installation of energy attenuating end treatments.Restoration of the Site upon completion of Work.
