Description:
This proposed contract is for manual brushing work in the 2025 field season and requires the brushing of competitive brush species from reforested cut-blocks for the purpose of allowing crop trees to reach free growing parameters. The total area which requires brushing is 1425.7 Ha. All sites are located within the Mackenzie Natural Resource District. The locations of each site are shown on the access maps included with the tender package. Site viewing is optional; however, it is highly recommended Bidders view the field sites prior to submitting their bid. Pay Plots are required by the contractor at the intensity of 1 plot per hectare. Information contained in the Detailed Site Assessments such as stems per hectare, diameter and access are approximate and should be used as guidance only. The Detailed Site Assessments indicate target species to be brushed. Be aware that some of the information contained in the DSA-s is dated. All implementation activities associated with the brushing activities of the openings in this tender are to be completed by the successful bidder. There will be no other contracts tendered for the implementation of this contract.
