Specific approaches include multivariable regression (incorporating innovative techniques like flexible splines, multi-way interactions, bootstrapping), multi-level modeling, latent variable modeling (e.g., factor analysis, multivariate trajectories, latent class analyses), and psychometric evaluations of patient-oriented outcome measures (e.g., reliability and validity).
