Description : The primary scope of work for the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (BBTCA )Two-Way Radio System Upgrade Project is to: 1) replace the existing radio system head-end equipment, filtering and all radios, 2) provide a DMR Tier 3 simulcast wide-area outdoor radio network operating as an expandable single site with sufficient RF signal strength and audio quality communication, and 3) to expand the coverage area as noted. The new radio system is to be expandable and allow for additional capacity, radio system equipment, coverage area, talk groups, talk paths and features as required over a minimum 10-year lifespan of the system. The master site shall enhance outdoor coverage quality within the BBTCA property line on the Toronto Island. In-Building enhancement coverage upgrades at the BBTCA Master site are not in the scope of work of this project. The existing indoor antenna system cabling in the tunnel and mainland building shall remain as is and be utilized. The existing external rooftop antennas are to be replaced with new antennas and associated rooftop cabling and expanded to meet coverage requirements.
