Description:
An advanced contract award notice (ACAN) is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date and time stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier.
1. Definition of the requirement:
The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to provide programming to federally sentenced offenders to meet their employment needs, consistent with community standards and labour market conditions. The work will involve the following:
1.1 Objectives:
The Contractor must provide a series of Beauty Stylist Certificate courses recognized by the Provincial Regulatory Body that will apply to the following personal care industries: hair, make-up, hand and nail technology.
Learning objectives from the courses provided to federal correctional institutions in the province of British Columbia must apply to various labour market sectors throughout the region. Upon successful completion of this 21 week (5.25 months) training, offenders should have a valid third party certificate that will allow them to work in jobs requiring Beauty Stylist Certification.
