Summary Details:
The Ministry of Agriculture, Innovation & Adaptation Services Branch, 1767 Angus Campbell Road Abbotsford B.C., intends to modify a shared cost arrangement (SCA) contract that was directly awarded in March 2018 to the British Columbia Agricultural Research and Development Corporation ("BC ARDCorp"). The SCA is for the delivery of the British Columbia Environmental Farm Plan Program and the Beneficial Management Practices Program. On March 19, 2018, the Ministry of Agriculture posted a Notice of Intent (NOI) to direct award this SCA, stating that the total value through to the maximum end date of the Contract will not exceed $12,500,000.
With the announcement of economic recovery funding for an On-Farm Innovation Top-Up that is intended to help farmers build adaptive capacity with the adoption of beneficial management practices , the Ministry of Agriculture is posting this NOI. This NOI states the Ministry's intention to modify the SCA to increase the total value above the amount that was stated in March 2018. Specifically, the Ministry of Agriculture intends to:
· Increase the value of the contract in fiscal year 2020/21 (April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021) from its current value of $2,550,000 to $3,350,000, for an increase of $800,000, which is expected to remain unchanged unless, in the Ministry's sole opinion, a negotiated...
