Description:
The work of the Aylmer Lagoon Optimization Project, Main Sanitary Pump Station Upgrades is located at the operating sewage pumping station located at 75 Elm Street (Optimist Park), Aylmer ON. The operation of the pumping station must be maintained throughout the duration of the project.
The scope of the project generally includes the following:
Provision of all new electrical equipment including incoming power, distribution, MCCs and appurtenances, as well as new VFDs, PLC and controls for the upgraded pumping station.Removal/Disposal of the existing electrical and mechanical equipment servicing the pumping station.General building refurbishment and renovations.Confined Space and Class 1 Division 1 work to be completed as part of the project. The contractor shall be responsible for all access/permitting requirements within the Confined Space area, no support will be provided by the owner. All equipment installed within the Hazardous areas shall be rated appropriately.Temporary By-Pass Pumping and Controls, isolating the existing facilities from the incoming Raw Sewage Flow in order to facilitate the transfer of from the existing to the new service.Provision of two (2) new raw sewage pumps (provisional items).Provision of new building mechanical upgrades.Coordination and connection of the new electrical, mechanical and pumping works.Work covered by the Contract documents includes Construction of, and Commissioning of the facility as per Section 01 91 13 - Commissioning Requirements and the General Conditions, Supplemental General Conditions and the Division 01 Contract documentation requirements.
