Summary Details:
Notice is hereby given by the Ministry of Citizens' Services, Procurement Services Branch (PSB), on behalf of the British Columbia Wildfire Services (BCWS) of its intent to qualify aviation services providers for the upcoming 2022 fire season.
The British Columbia Wildfire Service (BCWS) is tasked with managing wildfires through a combination of wildfire prevention, mitigation and suppression strategies on both Crown and private lands outside of organized areas such as municipalities or regional districts. The BCWS is also tasked with procuring aviation resources for all Ministry of Forests, Lands, and Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development. Additionally a memorandum of understanding allows the BCWS procure aviation resources for the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General of British Columbia for both emergency and non-emergency situations.
Currently the Province procures through a qualified suppliers list that was used for one or more competitive solicitations and through direct award processes. The current Framework Agreement expires on March 31, 2022.
In order to align with the Province's trade law obligation, the current environment for the provision of services will changing.
